MOJAVE GARDEN
Custom raised bed garden oasis in my Mojave Desert backyard, Las Vegas NV.

WORM CITY
I was first educated about vermicompost through a teachers continuing education opportunity with https://greenourplanet.org/ . I was searching for ways to recycle the mounds organic waste scraps I was creating. Conservation started with frozen veggie scraps to make vegetable stock. Developing into more elaborate systems to accommodate the waste. The systems I created utilized worms or soldier fly larvae to accelerate the deterioration process. The decomposing process is an aesthetic I have been fascinated by for much of my life. There is a beauty in the plant when during it's growth from seed to plump ripe, yet also in it's messy and rank disintegration.
